The following incidents occurred on February 09, 2013:
At 7:12 p.m., Deputies responded to the W2100 block of STH 92, Brooklyn Township, for a motor vehicle crash. Justin A. Wacker, 28, Madison, was westbound on STH 92 when a deer collided with his vehicle. Wacker was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured. The vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage with no airbag deployment and was driven from the scene.
At 11:22 p.m., Dane County Sheriff notified Green County Sheriff's Dept. of a motor vehicle crash in the W7600 block of STH 39, in York Township. The driver had fled the scene. Investigation determined that a vehicle operated by Shaun P Curran, 33, Browntown, was westbound negotiating a curve when he lost control on the snow-covered roadway and entered the north shoulder. Curran struck a mailbox and became stuck in the snow. There was no airbag deployment and the truck sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene. Contact was made with Curran and he will be cited for Obstructing Police, Operating Motor Vehicle WIthout Insurance, Driving Too Fast for Conditions, and Failure to Notify Police of an Accident.
