February 27, 2013:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on Tuesday, February 26, 2013:

M/V CRASH:
At 2:10 AM, Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash on STH 11, near Murray Street, Town of Cadiz. Investigation revealed a semi-tractor trailer unit operated by William D. Casey, 51, of Evansville, was westbound when a deer collided with the semi. Casey was not injured, seatbelt was used, and the airbag did not deploy. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
 
M/V CRASH:
At 4:19 AM, Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash in the N6200 block of CTH J, Town of Adams. Investigation revealed a vehicle operated by Debra M. Nash, 34, of rural New Glarus, was travelling northbound on CTH J when a deer collided with her vehicle. Nash was not injured, her seatbelt was used, and the airbag did not deploy. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
 
M/V CRASH:
At 5:10 AM, Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash in the W1300 block of STH 59, Town of Albany. Investigation revealed a vehicle operated by John L. Macke, 66, of rural Albany, was eastbound when a deer collided with his vehicle. Macke was not injured, his seatbelt was used, and the airbag did not deploy. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
 
M/V CRASH:
At 1:58 PM, Deputies, along with Brodhead Fire, EMS and Police, responded to a one-vehicle crash in the W1600 block of CTH F, Town of Decatur. Investigation revealed a vehicle operated by Alejandro Olmos Landa, 32, of Beloit, was eastbound on CTH F when he lost control of the vehicle, causing the vehicle to enter the ditch and overturn. Landa was not injured, his seatbelt was used, and the airbag did not deploy. A passenger was not injured, his seatbelt was used, and the airbag did not deploy. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene, once towed out of the ditch. Landa was cited for Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance and released pending court. Contributing factors in the crash were speed and the snow-covered roadway.
 
M/V CRASH:
At 4:41 PM, Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on STH 69, near Wittenwyler Road, Town of Mount Pleasant. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Ruth K. Sybers, 78, of rural Monticello, was southbound on STH 69 when she slowed to turn eastbound on Wittenwyler Road. A vehicle operated by Terri E. Ingwell, 67, of Monroe, was southbound on STH 69, behind Sybers, when Ingwell was unable to slow down and rear ended Sybers. Sybers was not injured, her seatbelt was used, and the airbag did not deploy. Ingwell was not injured, her seatbelt was used, and the airbag did not deploy. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were driven from the scene.
 
M/V CRASH:
At 8:47 PM, Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash on STH 11, near Patterson Road, Town of Clarno. Investigation revealed a vehicle operated by Marilyn D. DeNure, 48, of Monroe, lost control due to the snow-covered slippery roadway, causing the vehicle to enter the ditch and collide with a road sign. DeNure was not injured, her seatbelt was used and the airbag did not deploy. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene.
 
VEHICLES IN THE DITCH:
Deputies responded to 15 calls for vehicles in the ditch. In all cases there were no injuries or property damage.
