March 20, 2013:  Daily News Release

The following incident occurred on March 18, 2013:

Traffic Crash:
At 11:45 P.M., Deputies responded to the N1600 block of STH 69, Town of Clarno, for a one-vehicle rollover crash. Investigation revealed Vicki L. Burdick, age 57, of Orangeville, IL, was southbound when she lost control due to a snow drift.  The vehicle left the roadway and entered the east ditch where it overturned. The vehicle came to a rest on its side. The vehicle sustained moderate damage with no airbag deployment. The vehicle was towed from the scene.  Burdick sustained injuries in the crash, but refused medical treatment on scene.  Burdick reported seatbelt usage.
 
The following incidents occurred on March 19, 2013:
 
Traffic Crash:
At 3:02 A.M., Deputies responded to the N3500 block of CTH S, Town of Sylvester, for a one-vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed Wendy S. Sanders, age 43, of rural Monroe, was southbound when she lost control of her vehicle due to a snow drift. The vehicle spun and struck the end of a guardrail, causing severe damage to the vehicle.  The vehicle's airbags were deployed and it was towed from the scene.  Sanders reported an injury sustained in the crash, but refused medical treatment on scene. Sanders reported seatbelt usage.
 
Warrant Arrest:
At 7:59 A.M. Deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction on STH 11 near Mt. Hope Rd., Town of Spring Grove. Investigation into the stop resulted in a passenger, Alexander J. Clark, age 24 of Brodhead, being arrested on a Rock County warrant for Failure to Pay Fine. Clark posted the required bond and was released. The driver, Hollie M. Germann, age 24, of Durand, IL, was cited for Non-registration of an Auto. She was released pending court.
 
Traffic Crash:
At 8:25 A.M., Deputies responded to CTH E at Pryce Lane, Town of Decatur, for a one-vehicle rollover crash.
Investigation revealed Juvy Luz S. Balch, age 48, of Brodhead, was northbound when she lost control on the icy roadway while attempting to negotiate a curve. The vehicle entered the ditch and rolled over. The vehicle sustained moderate damage with no airbag deployment. It was towed from the scene. Albany Fire and EMS responded to the scene for treatment of injuries Balch sustained in the crash. Blach reported seatbelt usage.
 
Traffic Crash:
At 9:40 A.M., Deputies responded to the N5900 block of CTH J, Town of Adams, for a one-vehicle rollover crash. Investigation revealed Jason L. Riley, age 36, of Argyle, was northbound on CTH J when a wind gust caused him to lose traction on the snow/ice covered roadway. The vehicle entered the east ditch where it overturned. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Riley reported no injuries and seatbelt usage. There was no airbag deployment.
 
Traffic Crash:
At 12:41 P.M., Deputies responded to the N5700 block of STH 69, Town of Washington, for a one-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed Denise A. Thorpe, age 39, of Monroe, lost control on the snow/ice-covered roadway while attempting to negotiate a curve. Thorpe’s vehicle entered the ditch and came to rest. The vehicle sustained minor damage with no airbag deployment and was towed from the ditch. Thorpe reported no injuries and seatbelt usage.
 
Traffic Crash:
At 8:11 P.M., Deputies responded to the N4600 block of STH 59, Town of Sylvester, for a one-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed Eric E. Ambler, age 41, of Monroe, was westbound on STH 59 when he lost control on the snow/ice-covered roadway while negotiating a curve. The vehicle entered the north ditch where it struck a large snow bank and came to rest. The vehicle sustained severe damage with no airbag deployment and was towed from the scene. Ambler reported seatbelt usage and no injuries.
 
Green County Deputies responded to 12 reports of vehicles in the ditch or stranded in deep snow on the roadways.  In each instance, there were no injuries or damages.
