March 22, 2013:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on March 21, 2013:

 

Vehicle vs. Deer Crash:

At approximately 1:02 AM, Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash in the N8200 block of CTH E, Brooklyn Township.  Investigation revealed that David N. Patchen, 31, of Albany, was southbound on CTH E when he was struck by a passing deer.  The collision caused moderate damage without deploying the airbags.  Patchen reported seatbelt use and no injuries.  The vehicle was driven from the scene.  The deer was located at the scene and euthanized.

 

Traffic Arrest:

At approximately 4:26 AM, Deputies responded to a traffic complaint reported on STH 81, west of CTH T, Town of Spring Grove.  The complainant advised that a blazer-type vehicle was westbound on STH 81, operating in the eastbound lane.  Deputies attempted to catch up to the vehicle and located a gray/silver Chevy Trailblazer operating in the westbound shoulder of the W4400 block of STH 11/81, Town of Jefferson.  The vehicle was stopped and the operator, Mindy R. Ashman, 38, of Machesney Park, IL, was cited for Reckless Driving and Deviation from Lane of Travel.  Ashman submitted to field sobriety testing with a non-arrest decision.  Ashman was transported to the Green County Sheriff's Department and turned over to a responsible party pending court.

 

Vehicle vs. Deer Crash:

At approximately 5:01 AM, Deputies were dispatched to investigate a car vs. deer accident that occurred on CTH B, .2 mile east of West River Road, Cadiz Township. Investigation revealed that a car, driven by Connie J. Stoneback, 48, of Monroe, was traveling west on CTH B when a deer ran into the roadway and collided with her vehicle. Stoneback was not injured in the accident and was wearing a seat belt. No air bags were deployed on her vehicle. Stoneback's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. The deer fled the scene after colliding with Stoneback's vehicle.

 

Traffic Arrest

At approximately 7:38 PM, Jeremy H. Hardyman, 27, of Madison, was stopped and warned for obstructed license plates on STH 69, at STH 11, Town of Monroe.  Hardyman was cited for Operating After Revocation and Operating without Proof of Insurance.  Hardyman was released to a valid driver pending court.
