The following incidents occurred on April 02, 2013:
At 10:14 a.m., Deputies arrested Billy Lee Ellsworth, 27, of Brodhead, at the Green County Justice Center on a warrant for contempt of court for Failure to Appear. Ellsworth was jailed.
At 5:17 p.m., Deputies responded to the W1200 block of STH 92, in the Town of Brooklyn, for a two-vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that a truck driven by Jacob C. Zaemisch, 25, of Stoughton, was driving east on STH 92, just west of CTH E, when a second vehicle being driven by Jason J. Morgan, 35, of Evansville, traveling east, came upon Zaemisch and passed him. As Morgan was passing Zaemisch, Morgan's passenger side mirror struck Zaemisch's driver side mirror. Morgan left the scene before law enforcement arrived. Morgan was located and stated he was not injured, was wearing his seatbelt and the airbags did not deploy. Morgan's vehicle received very minor damage to the passenger mirror and the vehicle was driven from the scene. Zaemisch and his passenger were not injured, they were wearing their seatbelts and the airbags did not deploy. Zaemisch was also able to drive the vehicle from the scene. Morgan will be cited for Failure to Notify Police of an Accident and released pending court.
At 8:40 p.m., the Green County Sheriff's Department's K-9 Unit stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction on 6th Avenue West, at West 7th Street, City of Monroe. Investigation into the stop resulted in K-9 Ike alerting to the odor of drugs in the vehicle. The occupants identified as Justin R. Myers, 36, of Gratiot and Carrie Ann Zekoff, 37, of Gratiot, were charged with Possession of Materials for Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Abuse of Hazardous Substances and Prohibited Acts B. Zekoff was also held on a warrant through Lafayette County Sheriff for Failure to Pay Fine. Myers was cited for Non-Registration of an Auto, Operating While Suspended, and Operating a Motor Vehicle without Proof of Insurance. Both were jailed pending court.
At 8:43 p.m., Deputies were dispatched to the W6400 block of STH 11, Monroe Township, for a car vs. deer accident. Donora K. Trimble, 33, of Monroe, was traveling westbound on STH 11 when a deer collided with her motor vehicle. Trimble and a passenger advised they were not injured and were wearing their seatbelts. There was no airbag deployment in the vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate front passenger-side damage and was driven from the scene.
