April 06, 2013:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on April 5, 2013: 

Probation/Parole Arrest:
At 9:10 A.M., Deputies were requested to respond to the Probation and Parole Office located in the Green County Justice Center. David J. Winkler, age 39, of Darlington, was taken into custody on a Probation Hold. Winkler was transported to the Green County Jail and confined.
 
Assault:
At 11:09 A.M., Deputies responded to a residence in the W1500 block of King Road, Town of Brooklyn, for a report of an assault. As a result of the investigation, Guy D. Jensen, age 61, of rural Brooklyn, was arrested for False Imprisonment and Third Degree Sexual Assault. Jensen was confined at the Green County Jail pending court.
 
Traffic Crash:
At 6:20 P.M., Deputies, along with the Brodhead Fire Department, Brodhead Area EMS, Green County EMS, Janesville EMS and Medflight, responded to a two-vehicle crash on STH 11, approximately 0.6 of a mile east of STH 81/CTH GG, in the Town of Spring Grove. Investigation revealed that a vehicle being operated by Donna M. Wenger, age 61, of Brodhead, was eastbound on STH 11 when she fell asleep and drifted across the westbound lane of STH 11 and into the shoulder. A vehicle operated by Daniel B. Bradford, age 43, of Janesville, was westbound on STH 11 and observed the Wenger vehicle cross into the westbound lane of travel. Bradford veered right in order to avoid a collision and then observed Wenger's vehicle correct back towards the center line. Bradford then braked heavily, but the vehicles collided head on. Wenger was wearing her seatbelt and was transported by Medflight for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Bradford and his passenger Erika E. Schultz, age 44, of Janesville, were both wearing seatbelts and were transported by Green County EMS for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Both vehicles sustained severe damage, with airbag deployment, and were towed from the scene. Citations are pending.
 
Arrest:
At 8:14 P.M., Deputies responded to 101 E. Old Highway Road, Village of Browntown, for a subject waving an axe around and threatening to damage property. As a result of the investigation, Randall E. Halvorson, age 59, of Browntown, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct While Armed. Randall was confined at the Green County Jail pending court or cash bond. Olivia L.J. Halvorson, age 24, of Browntown, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Albany Police Department for Failure to Pay Fine. Olivia was confined at the Green County Jail to serve a commitment order or post the required fine amount.
 
Vehicle vs. Deer Crash:
At 8:39 P.M., a Deputy responded to STH 11, at Balls Mill Road, Town of Sylvester, for a vehicle vs. deer crash. Investigation revealed George J. Pisula, age 67, of Monroe, was traveling on STH 11 when a deer entered the roadway and collided with his vehicle. Pisula was not injured and was wearing his seatbelt. The vehicle sustained severe damage with no airbag deployment. It was driven from the scene.
