The following incidents occurred on April 07, 2013:
At 3:31 p.m., a motorcycle driven by Alex J. Hanson, 26, New Glarus, was going westbound, negotiating a curve in the W6300 block of STH 39, in the Town of New Glarus, when he ran over some loose gravel. The driver lost control of the motorcycle and went into the north ditch where the vehicle fell to its side. The driver received non-life threatening injuries and was transported by New Glarus EMS to the hospital for treatment. A passenger was not injured. Both occupants were wearing helmets with a visor. The motorcycle received moderate damage and was towed from the scene. The New Glarus Fire and Police Departments assisted at the scene.
At 8:52 p.m., Deputies responded to the N2000 block of STH 69, Clarno Township, for a single-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Rosemarey Forcade, 64, of Monroe was northbound on STH 69 when she collided with a deer. The collision caused moderate damage to the front passenger corner without deploying the airbags. Forcade reported seatbelt use and no injuries.
