April 12, 2013: Daily News Release
The following incidents occurred on April 11, 2013:
At 6:08 a.m., Deputies were dispatched to the N7600 block of County Hwy C, Brooklyn Township, for a vehicle in the ditch. Investigation resulted with Amy K. Smith, 53, Brooklyn, being arrested for OWI-1st Offense. Smith was also cited for Too Fast for Conditions. Smith was released pending court. The vehicle sustained minor damage and will be removed by the owner later in the day.
At 6:47 p.m., Deputies located a one-vehicle crash on STH 11, west of Richland Road, Town of Sylvester.
Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by James A. Upmann, 53, of Monroe, was eastbound on
STH 11 when a turkey collided with his vehicle. Upmann was wearing his seatbelt, the airbag did not
deploy, and he was not injured. The vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage and was driven from
Sgt. Robert A. Werren Sr.
