The following incidents occurred on May 2, 2013:
At 11:43 a.m., Deputies responded to a residence on Ullom Road, in Cadiz Township, for a disturbance. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Kraig R. Kline, 48, Monroe, on charges of Felony Strangulation, Felony Intimidation of a Victim and Disorderly Conduct. Kraig Kline was incarcerated in the Green County jail pending court.
At 7:06 p.m., Deputies responded to the N7800 block of STH 104, Brooklyn Township, for a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash with injuries. The pedestrian had had been transported by private vehicle for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries to the Stoughton Hospital. Charles T. Parrish, 77, of Lanark, IL, was operating southbound and observed Nathaniel A. Judd, 12, Brooklyn, standing on the east side of the roadway by a mailbox. Parrish slowed slightly; however, continued to operate at approximately 50 m.p.h. Judd suddenly entered the roadway and darted into the path of Parrish. Parrish took evasive action, but was unable to avoid Judd and struck him. Parrish and his passenger, Babette R. Gaus, 38, of Lanark, IL, reported seatbelt usage and no injuries. The Parrish vehicle did not sustain any damage and no airbags deployed. No citations were issued stemming from this incident.
