The following incident occurred on May 21, 2013:
At 7:31 PM, Deputies and Monroe EMS responded to the W3300 block of County Hwy SS, Sylvester Township. Investigation revealed that Jeffrey S. Dampier, 51, Juda, was eastbound when a deer entered the roadway. Dampier swerved to miss the deer, which caused his vehicle to rollover several times before coming to a rest on its wheels. Dampier was wearing his safety belt and was transported by EMS for non-life-threatening injuries. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
Dampier was cited for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated-1st Offense, Failure to Maintain Control of a Vehicle, Non-registration of a Motor Vehicle, and Operating a Vehicle with a Revoked Driver’s License.
