The following incidents occurred on May 23rd, 2013:
Motor Vehicle Crash with Injuries:
On 5/23/13 at 5:45 p.m., Deputies, along with the Juda Fire Department and Green County EMS, responded to a three vehicle crash with injuries in the W1700 block of STH 11/81, Spring Grove Township. Investigation revealed that all three vehicles were eastbound on STH 11/81. The first vehicle was operated by George S. Ferger, 82, Clinton, WI. Ferger was followed by Stephanie J. Kelly, 39, South Beloit, IL. Kelly was followed by Kyle D. Williams, 20, Brodhead. Ferger and Kelly slowed due to a vehicle ahead of them that was preparing to turn left into a private drive. Williams did not observe the vehicles ahead of him slowing to a stop and was unable to avoid a collision with the vehicle operated by Kelly, forcing her vehicle into the rear of Ferger's vehicle.
Ferger and his three passengers, Doris J. Ferger, 79, Clinton, Jond D. Ferger, 80, Avalon, and Judith M. Ferger, 70, Avalon, all reported seatbelt use and no injuries. Ferger's vehicle sustained moderate damage with no airbag deployment. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Kelly suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital by EMS. Kelly reported seatbelt use. Kelly's vehicle sustained severe damage with no airbag deployment and was towed from the scene.
Williams suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital by EMS. Williams reported seatbelt use. Williams' vehicle sustained severe damage with airbag deployment and was towed from the scene.
Williams was cited for Inattentive Driving.
