The following incidents occurred on May 29, 2013:
At 6:51 a.m., Savanna C. Andrews, 27, of Juda, was westbound on Middle Juda Road, west of Richland Road (Jefferson Township), when she struck a deer. Andrews was not injured in the crash and was wearing her seat belt. The air bags did not deploy in the van. There was severe damage to the vehicle and she was able to drive it from the accident scene.
At 6:57 a.m., Deputies, along with the Brodhead Police, responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on CTH E, south of Borchardt Road, in Decatur Township. Investigation found that a pick-up truck driven by Dan R. Jenson, 47, of Juda, was northbound on CTH E when he attempted to turn left into a private driveway. Jenson collided with a second vehicle driven by Kevin M. Stone, 31, of Brodhead. Stone was Southbound on CTH E when Jenson turned into his path of travel. No injuries were reported and both Jenson and Stone were wearing their seatbelts. Both vehicles sustained very severe damages and were towed from the scene. The airbags in either vehicle did not deploy.
