The following incidents occurred on: June 16th, 2013:
At 4:36 PM, Deputies, along with Belleville Fire, EMS and City of Madison Paramedics responded to a motorcycle crash on State Hwy. 92, west of Legler Road, Town of Exeter. Investigation revealed that a 1978 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Joseph H. Templeton, 35, of Gresham, WI, was eastbound on STH 92. Templeton collided with the rear end of a 2003 Yamaha motorcycle operated by Edward L. Narans, 42, of Belleville. This caused both operators to lose control and lay the motorcycles down, skidding on the pavement. Templeton and his motorcycle skidded into the rear end of a 2005 Kia sedan that was legally parked on the shoulder of the roadway. Templeton was ejected from the motorcycle, was not wearing a helmet, but did have eye protection. He sustained injuries and was transported to an area hospital by EMS.
Narans was partially ejected and was wearing a helmet and eye protection. He sustained injuries and refused treatment at the scene. The Harley Davidson motorcycle sustained moderate overall damage and was towed from the scene. The Yamaha motorcycle sustained moderate damage to all areas and was driven from the scene. The Kia sedan was not occupied and sustained minor rear end damage.
Templeton was cited for Operating a Motorcycle without a License and was released pending court.
On Sunday, June 16, 2013, at 4:41 PM, Deputies along with Monroe Fire Department responded to the W4700 block of STH 59, Sylvester Township, for a reported vehicle on fire. The contents of the truck bed (mostly trash) that were on fire, were kicked into the north ditch and the vehicle left the area prior to responding units arrival. Monroe Fire Department extinguished the fire and located mail belonging to the subject(s).
Monroe Police Officers located the vehicle in the City of Monroe shortly thereafter. The vehicle operator, Darrin W. Demrow, 34, of Brodhead, was issued a citation for Littering and released pending court.
A passenger in the Demrow vehicle from the littering complaint, Nicholas J. Roth, 33, of Albany, was arrested for Obstructing an Officer and a Green County Arrest Warrant. Roth was jailed.
