The following incidents occurred on June 17th, 2013:
Car vs. Deer:
At 2:48 AM, Deputies responded to the N7300 block of CTH A, York Township, for a car vs. deer crash. Wayne M. Rosenstiel, Jr., 35, of South Wayne, was northbound when a deer entered the road way and collided with his vehicle. Rosenstiel advised he was wearing his safety belt and was uninjured. The vehicle sustained moderate damage without airbag deployment. The vehicle was driven from the scene.
Car vs. Deer
At 5:30 AM, Deputies responded to the N6700 block of Silver Road, in Mount Pleasant Township, for a vehicle vs. deer crash. Kyle D. Elmer, 29, Monticello, was northbound when a deer collided with his truck. Elmer was wearing a seatbelt and was uninjured. There was no airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained minor driver's side rear fender damage and was driven from the scene.
Hit and Run Crash:
At 9:01 AM, Deputies responded to East Dale Street, near School Street, in the Village of Browntown, for a Hit and Run complaint. An investigation revealed a vehicle struck the Village community sign. This may have taken place on the date of Friday, 06/14/13. There was no paint transfer on the post. This crash remains under investigation.

At 10:24 AM, Deputies responded to a business in the W5200 block of CTH KK, in Monroe Township, for a theft complaint. The suspect had left prior to Deputies arrival. Monroe Police Dept. later located the vehicle involved in the City of Monroe. Green County K-9 assisted Monroe PD with a sniff of the vehicle and Officers located drug paraphernalia. Dawn K. Lybarger, 40, of Browntown, and Thomas J. Ott, 46, Browntown, were arrested and jailed for Probation/Parole Violations. The theft remains under investigation.
Property Damage Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 8:12 PM, Deputies responded to the W4500 block of STH 11/81, in Jefferson Township, for a two-vehicle crash with no injuries reported. Investigation revealed that a pickup truck operated by John Ray Alderman, 56, of Brodhead, was traveling east on STH 11/81 and began to slow for a vehicle turning right/south onto Richland Road from STH 11/81 ahead of him. At the same time, a vehicle operated by Brandi S. Ihus, 32, of Mineral Point, was following Alderman's vehicle eastbound. Ihus failed to slow her vehicle in time and collided with the rear end of Alderman's vehicle. Both Alderman and Ihus reported seat belt usage and no injuries. Alderman's vehicle sustained minor rear end damage with no airbag deployment and was driven from the scene. Ihus's vehicle sustained moderate front end damage with no airbag deployment and was driven from the scene.
Ihus was cited for Automobile Following Too Closely, and for Operating with No Insurance. Alderman was cited for Operating with No Insurance. Both subjects were released pending a court date.
