The following incidents occurred on June 19, 2013:
At 9:59 A.M., a Deputy responded to 87 1st Street, in the Village of New Glarus, for a crash report. Investigation revealed Jason M. Borth, age 50, of Monroe, was backing up a utility truck in the parking lot and struck a legally parked New Glarus Police squad car. Borth was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured and no airbags deployed.
There was no damage to the utility truck. The unoccupied squad sustained minor damage.
At 2:39 P.M., a Deputy responded to Freeport Road, at Theiler Road, Town of Jefferson, for a crash report.
Investigation revealed Troy A. Gorr, age 17, of rural Monroe, was operating a truck northbound on Freeport Road, pulling a goose neck trailer loaded with a skid steer. While turning onto Theiler Road, the trailer became disconnected from the truck. The safety chains broke and the trailer traveled into the ditch, where it overturned and spilled its load. The truck and trailer sustained moderate damage. The skid steer sustained severe damage. Gorr was not injured, was wearing his seatbelt, and no airbags deployed. The skid steer was removed from the scene by an implement dealer. The truck and trailer were removed from the scene by the operator.
