The following incidents occurred on July 10, 2013:
At 10:44 a.m., Deputies assisted Department of Corrections Agents in the arrest of Dustin L. Meier, 24, Monroe, at a residence in the Town of Clarno on a Department of Corrections Warrant. Meier was jailed.
At 12:21 p.m., Deputies were dispatched to investigate an accident that occurred on STH 59 west of CTH S, Sylvester Township. Hillary A. Gomer, 21, of Monroe, reported traveling east on STH 59 at approximately 7:30 a.m. and stated that another vehicle swerved into her lane, forcing her to swerve off the road to avoid a collision. Gomer went off the south side of the road and struck a guard rail. Gomer and her passenger were not injured in the accident. Hillary was wearing a seat belt and her passenger was in a car seat. No air bags were deployed in her vehicle. The vehicle Gomer was driving sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. The guard rail that was struck was not damaged other than having some paint scraped off. Incident remains under investigation.
