July 12, 2013:  Monroe Teen Injured in Accident involving Lawn Tractor
On Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 7:46 p.m., the Green County Sheriff’s Department received a report that a 15-year-old female had been discovered trapped under a riding lawn tractor in a yard at a residence in the 3500 block of Aebly Rd., just north of the City of Monroe in Monroe Township. The female was discovered by a family member and she was reported to be unresponsive. Green County deputies, along with Green County EMS and Monroe Fire Department First Response personnel responded to the scene. The patient was transported to The Monroe Clinic Hospital and subsequently transferred to UW Hospital in Madison by MedFlight Helicopter with injuries sustained in the incident. Since no-one witnessed the incident, it is unknown how long the victim had been trapped or exactly how the incident occurred.
