September 04, 2013:  Daily News Release

The following incident occurred on September 3, 2013:

Traffic Crash:
At 2:48 P.M., Deputies, assisted by the Green County Highway Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol,
responded to the N3700 block of CTH J, Town of Monroe, for a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that James M. Munn, age 56, of Orfordville, was operating a tanker truck and attempting to back into a driveway. Munn pulled across the highway to the west side of the road to back into the driveway. Todd H. Neuenschwander, age 47, of Browntown, was operating a separate tanker truck southbound on CTH J. When Munn pulled across the highway, Neuenschwander braked rapidly, but was unable to stop quickly enough and struck the vehicle operated by Munn. The collision caused moderate damage to the vehicle operated by Munn and caused severe damage to the vehicle operated by Neuenschwander. No airbags were deployed and no injuries were reported. Both drivers reported wearing their safety belts. The vehicle operated by Munn was driven from the scene. The vehicle operated by Neuenschwander was towed from the scene. Both vehicles were inspected by the Wisconsin State Patrol with no violations identified that would have contributed to the crash. Munn was cited for Unsafe Backing and released pending court.

GCSD Patrol Deputy Betsy A. Krantz #11
