The following incidents occurred on September 5, 2013:
At 9:18 P.M., Deputies, Green County EMS and Juda Fire/First Response were dispatched to Blumer Road, at CTH K, Town of Jefferson, for a motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed Bradley D. Brausen, age 16, of rural Monroe, was operating a pickup truck at a high rate of speed on Blumer Road. Brausen was unable to stop for the T intersection, marked with a stop sign, and collided with the embankment at CTH K. The truck sustained severe damage with airbag deployment and was towed from the scene. Brausen and his 14 year old female passenger were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Both were transported by EMS for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Brausen was cited for Unreasonable and Imprudent Speed, Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign, Failure to Wear a Seatbelt, Failure to Require a Passenger to Wear a Seatbelt and Operate a Motor Vehicle by a Permittee Without an Authorized Person. Brausen was released pending court.
