The following incidents occurred on Monday, September 9, 2013:
MV Crash – Injury:
At 1:05 P.M., Deputies, along with the Monroe EMS and Juda First Response Units, responded to a vehicle vs. motorcycle crash on CTH G at Geise Road in Spring Grove Township.
Investigation revealed that a pickup truck driven by Ezra J. Hoesly, 75, Juda, was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Geise Road and CTH G. Hoesly proceeded across CTH G and collided with a motorcycle traveling on CTH G that was driven by Gregory A. Raymond, 49, Juda.
Raymond sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital by EMS. Raymond was not wearing a helmet, but was wearing glasses. Raymond's motorcycle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Hoesly reported he was not wearing a seatbelt and was uninjured. There was no airbag deployment. Hoesly's pickup truck sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
Hoesly will be cited for Failure to Yield that Right of Way from a Stop Sign.
MV Crash – Property Damage:
At 1:22 P.M., Deputies and the New Glarus Police Department responded to a one-vehicle property damage crash on CTH N, .8 south of CTH NN, in the Town of New Glarus.
The investigation revealed Nicholas A. Elmer, 18, New Glarus, had been travelling north on CTH N when he failed to negotiate a left hand curve. Elmer lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole. Elmer reported wearing a seatbelt, and was uninjured. There was no airbag deployment. Elmer's vehicle received moderate front right quarter panel damage and was towed from the scene.
Elmer will be cited for Failure to Maintain Control of a Vehicle.
MV Crash – Property Damage:
At 4:12 P.M., Deputies responded to the intersection of CTH EE at CTH D in Mt. Pleasant Township for a two-vehicle collision. A vehicle operated by David H. Pehl, 40, Juda, was traveling southbound on CTH D. At the same time, a vehicle operated by Leslie A. Brugger, 33, Monticello, was traveling westbound on CTH EE. Pehl stopped at the designated stop sign, but failed to yield the right of way from the stop sign, entering the intersection and colliding with Brugger's vehicle.
Pehl reported wearing a seat belt, and was uninjured. Pehl's vehicle sustained severe damage with no air bag deployment and was towed from the scene. Brugger reported wearing a seat belt, and was uninjured. Brugger's vehicle sustained severe damage with no air bag deployment and was towed from the scene.
Pehl was issued a citation for Failure to Yield Right of Way from a Stop Sign and was released.
