At 7:44 a.m., Deputies, Monroe Police and Monroe EMS responded to a report of a rollover crash on the Argyle Exchange on STH 81 at STH 69 (south) in Monroe Township. Investigation found that Kyle James Thomas Olson, 18, Monroe, was eastbound on STH 81 when he approached the intersection. He was operating in the right lane and was struck by a vehicle turning left onto STH 69, south from the ramp. That second vehicle was operated by John Luke Hanson, 20, from Albany. Luke's vehicle struck the driver’s side of the Olson vehicle, causing the Olson vehicle to strike a guardrail and then overturn, coming to rest on its roof. Olson was not injured. His passenger, Haylie Sharon Olson, 16, Monroe, was treated at the scene by Monroe EMS. Hanson was transported to Monroe ER for non-life-threatening injuries. All subjects were wearing seat belts, and there was no airbag deployment in either vehicle. Hanson will be cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way from a stop sign.
