MV Crash:
At 4:06 p.m., Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of STH 69 and CTH P, in the Town of Clarno. A vehicle driven by Eric S. Wheeler, 28, Monroe, was stopped on STH 69, facing south at the intersection with CTH P, waiting for oncoming traffic before he turned east onto CTH P. A vehicle driven by Nicole L. Friese, 37, of Orangeville, IL, was traveling south on STH 69, approaching the intersection with CTH P. Friese advised that she looked away and when she looked back, she was upon Wheeler's vehicle. Friese stated that she tried to swerve to the right and ended up striking the rear passenger side of Wheeler's vehicle. Friese and Wheeler were wearing their seatbelts, were not injured, and the airbags did not deploy. There was minor damage to both vehicles and they were driven from the scene.
