November 03, 2013:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on November 2, 2013: 

Drug Arrest:
At 12:20 A.M., Deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on STH 59 at 6-1/2 Street, City of Monroe. 
Investigation into the stop resulted in the following enforcement action:  the driver, Alejandro L. Herrera, age 35, of Dodgeville, was cited for Operating While Suspended, a passenger identified as Saurah Jamaleddin, age 33, of Woodlake, CA, was cited for Possession of Marijuana (less than 25 grams) and a passenger identified as Reuben A. Chavez Jr., age 33, of Woodlake, CA, was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. All were released pending court. The Sheriff's Department K-9 Unit assisted with the stop.
 
Vehicle vs. Deer Crash:
At 7:09 A.M., a Deputy responded to the W4800 block of Montgomery Road, Town of Jefferson, for a vehicle vs. deer crash. Investigation revealed Kathy A. Whitaker, age 65, of Monroe, was eastbound when a deer entered the roadway and collided with her vehicle. Whitaker was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt. The vehicle sustained moderate damage, with no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene.
 
Vehicle vs. Deer Crash:
At 7:10 A.M., a Deputy responded to the N6700 block of CTH D, Town of Mt. Pleasant, for a vehicle vs. deer crash. Investigation revealed Myra J. Schink, age 56, of rural Monticello, was northbound when a deer entered the roadway and collided with the vehicle. Schink was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt. The vehicle sustained severe damage, with no airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene.
 
Traffic Crash:
At 12:47 P.M., Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash in the W2300 block of STH 11, Town of Spring Grove. Investigation revealed Julie G. Farley, age 55, of Beloit, was eastbound, following a vehicle towing hay bales. Farley braked and was rear-ended by another vehicle following her. The driver of the second vehicle was identified as Britney L. Powell, age 26, of Brodhead. Farley was wearing a seat belt. Farley's vehicle sustained moderate damage, with no airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. Powell was wearing a seat belt. Powell's vehicle sustained severe damage, with airbag deployment and was towed from the scene. Both sustained injuries in the crash, but declined medical treatment.
 
Vehicle vs. Deer Crash:
At 7:10 A.M., a Deputy responded to the N4700 block of CTH N, Town of Monroe, for a vehicle vs. deer crash. Investigation revealed Brianna M. Einbeck, 23, of Monroe, was southbound when a deer entered the roadway and collided with the vehicle. Einbeck was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt. The vehicle sustained minor damage, with no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene.
