November 08, 2013:  Daily News Release

The following incident occurred on November 6, 2013:

MV Accident:
At 11:43 p.m. ,Brenetta E. Hall, 52, Freeport, IL, reported she collided with a deer on STH 69, south of CTH FF, in the Town of Monroe. Hall reported she was traveling southbound, was wearing her seat belt, there were no injuries, no airbag deployment, and moderate damage to the vehicle. Vehicle was driven from the scene.
 
The following incidents occurred on November 7, 2013:
 
Traffic Arrest:
At 1:28 a.m., Deputies stopped Julieta Mejia, 49, Beloit, in the W4900 block of STH 11 in the Town of Monroe, for a traffic violation. Mejia was cited for Operating with Expired Driver’s License and released pending court.
 
Traffic Arrest:
At 6:21 a.m., Amanda Jean Goebel, 30, Monroe, was cited for Speeding and Operating with a Suspended Driver’s License on STH 69, at Hill Lane, in Monroe Township. Goebel was released pending court.
 
MV Accident:
At 7:20 a.m., Deputies responded to STH 81, near Klondike Road ,in Jordan Township, for a motor vehicle accident. John A. Trout, 72, Argyle, was eastbound on STH 81 when he collided with a deer. There were no injuries nor airbag deployment.  Trout and his passenger were wearing seatbelts. Trout drove the vehicle from the scene with moderate front-end damage.
 
Traffic Arrest:
At 5:27 p.m., Deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction in the W8300 block of STH 81, in the Town of Jordan. Heather Leigh Nysted, 28, of Argyle, was cited for Operating After Driver’s License is Suspended and No Proof of Insurance.  Nysted was released pending court.
 
MV Accident:
At 5:33 p.m., Deputies responded to the N4500 block of STH 69, in Monroe Township, for a motor vehicle accident. Rebecca L. Novak, 40, of Browntown, was traveling southbound on STH 69 when a single deer entered the roadway and collided with her vehicle. Novak was the lone vehicle occupant, was wearing a seat belt, and was uninjured. The vehicle sustained moderate damage to the driver side quarter panel with no air bag deployment and was driven from the scene.
 
MV Accident:
At 7:01 p.m., Steven R. Guptill, 62, of Monroe, was westbound on Greenbush Road, west of CTH SS
(Decatur Township) when he struck a deer. Guptill was not hurt in the crash and was wearing his seat belt. The airbags did not deploy in the vehicle. The vehicle received minor damage and he drove it from the scene.
