The following incidents occurred on December 9, 2013:
Parole and Probation Warrant:
At 8:34 a.m., Deputies arrested Dustin Lee Meier, 24, Monroe, at a residence in the W6100 Block of CTH B, in the Town of Clarno, on a Department of Corrections Parole and Probation Warrant. Meier was jailed.
At 10:48 a.m., Deputies were dispatched to a vehicle accident on CTH N, near Robey Road, Washington Township. Leeann T. Parish, 34, of Monticello, was traveling south on CTH N when she lost control of the truck on the ice and snow covered roadway. The truck Parish was driving slid off the west side of the road and went into the ditch, then struck a rock wall embankment. Parish and her passenger were not injured in the accident, safety belts were used, and there was no air bag deployment in the vehicle. The pickup truck driven by Parish sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
At 2:46 p.m., Deputies responded to the W8100 block of Apple Grove Road, in Adams Township, for a motor vehicle accident. Sharisey Lee Ling, 17, of Argyle, was traveling southbound on Dougherty Creek Road and attempted to make a right turn onto Apple Grove Road. Lee Ling was traveling too fast for the roadway conditions and lost control of her vehicle. After turning right onto Apple Grove Road, the vehicle then entered the north ditch, where it struck a telephone junction box. Lee Ling was the lone vehicle occupant, was properly restrained, and was uninjured. Lee Ling's vehicle sustained minor front-end damage, with no airbag deployment. The vehicle was towed from the ditch and driven from the scene. Lee Ling was cited for Too Fast for Conditions and released pending court.
At 5:01 p.m., Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on CTH KS, near Brunkow Road, Jefferson Township. Rebecca L. Drafall, 31, of Monroe, was traveling west on CTH KS when a deer collided with her vehicle. Drafall advised she was not injured and was wearing her seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment in the vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage and was driven from the scene.
At 10:41 p.m., Deputies responded to motor vehicle accident at the intersection of STH 81 and CTH T, Town of Spring Grove. Shannon R. Spradlin, age 43, of Davis, IL, was traveling southbound on CTH T and stopped at the stop sign at the intersection. Spradlin then continued southbound on CTH T, crossing STH 81, as Joshua A. Harris, age 25, of Clinton, was eastbound on STH 81. Harris applied his brakes, but his vehicle collided with Spradlin’s vehicle. Spradlin and her two other passengers reported seatbelt usage and no injuries. Spradlin's vehicle received moderate damage to the right rear quarter panel and rear. The airbags did not deploy and the vehicle was driven from the scene. Harris reported no seatbelt usage and no injuries. Harris' vehicle received severe front-end and front-right-passenger-side damage in the accident. The airbags deployed and the vehicle was towed from the scene. Spradlin was cited for Failure to Yield to the Right of Way. Harris was cited for Operator Failure to Wear Seatbelt and Operate Motor Vehicle Without Insurance. Both were released pending court.
