December 12, 2013:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on December 11, 2013:

MV Crash:
At 6:44 a.m., Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of STH 81 and CTH N, in Monroe Township. Brian A. Schoenhard, 35, of Monticello, was southbound on CTH N attempting to slow and stop for the stop sign.   Schoenhard lost traction and slid through the intersection, colliding with a second vehicle that was westbound on STH 81. The second vehicle was driven by David J. Cianfrini, 28, of Monroe. No injuries were reported and both were wearing their seatbelts. The airbags did not deploy in either vehicle. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene by the operators. Schoenhard was warned for Too Fast For Conditions.   Speed and road conditions were factors in the crash.
MV Crash:
At 7:49 a.m., Deputies, Browntown Fire and Monroe EMS responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of North Klondike Road, at Rufer Road, in Jordan Township. Investigation found that
Barbara A. Baldwin, 47, Monroe, was northbound on North Klondike Road and was approaching the intersection with Rufer Road when she slid and went into the ditch on the north side of Rufer Road. The vehicle ended up on its roof and sustained moderate damage to most areas. Baldwin suffered injuries and was transported by EMS. Seatbelt was used and there was no airbag deployment. Vehicle was towed from the scene.
MV Crash:
At 7:59 a.m., Deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash that occurred on Stephenson Lane, south of Purintun Road, Albany Township. 
Andrew J. Rufener, 33, of Albany, was traveling north on Stephenson Lane when he lost control while negotiating a curve on the snow-covered roadway. Rufener's vehicle went into the ditch and then struck a concrete sign. Rufener was not injured in the accident and was wearing a seatbelt. No airbags were deployed in his vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
MV Crash:
At 5:50 p.m., Deputies responded to the N7400 block of Dougherty Creek Road, in York Township, for a single-vehicle property damage crash.  
Randy A. Ruegsegger, 58, of Argyle, was traveling northbound on Dougherty Creek Road when he reported he swerved to miss a deer in the roadway. Ruegsegger lost control of the vehicle, after taking evasive action, and entered the west ditch, nearly striking a bridge/bridge railing, and traveled down a steep embankment where it came to rest on its wheels in a nearby creek. Ruegsegger was the lone vehicle occupant, was wearing safety restraints, and was uninjured. The vehicle sustained severe damage with airbag deployment and was towed from the scene.
MV Crash:
At 6:30 p.m., Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash on STH 11, near Balls Mill Road, Town of Sylvester. Investigation revealed a vehicle operated by
Paula L. Peterson, 41, of Brodhead, was eastbound when a deer collided with her vehicle. Peterson was not injured, her seatbelt was used, and the airbag did not deploy.  The vehicle sustained moderate front-end and undercarriage damage and was towed from the scene.
MV Crash:
At 9:07 p.m., Gavin S. Baade, 17, of Brodhead, was northbound on CTH E, north of Myrt Lane (Decatur Township), when he collided with a deer. Baade was not injured in the crash and was wearing his safety belt. The airbags in the truck did not deploy. The truck had moderate damage to it and he was able to drive it from the accident scene.
