December 22, 2013:  Daily News Release

The following incident occurred on December 20, 2013:

MV Crash:
At 11:27 p.m., Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on STH 11, east of Carnie Road, in the Town of Monroe. Garrett L. Giannatti, 25, South Wayne, was traveling westbound and negotiating a curve when he lost control. The motor vehicle rolled over, coming to a rest on its side, causing moderate damage. No injury, seatbelt used and no airbag deployment. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
 
The following incidents occurred on December 21, 2013 :
 
MV Crash/OWI:
At 4:27 a.m., Deputies from Green and Dane, along with Belleville Fire and EMS, were called to a motor vehicle crash in the 600 block of Sugar Avenue, in the Village of Belleville, Green County. Joshua Foster Varrieur, 34, Belleville, was westbound in the 600 block of Sugar Avenue when he collided with a legally parked vehicle.   Varrieur was arrested for OWI 3rd Offense. Varrieur was transported to Meriter ER by Belleville EMS for his possible injuries. After he was discharged, Varrieur was transported to the Green County Jail. Varrieur was also issued a citation for Inattentive Driving. Varrieur remained jailed pending bond or court.
 
MV Crash:
At 6:15 a.m., Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on STH 11/81, east of CTH OK, in the Town of Spring Grove. Shawn M. Cook, 40, Brodhead, lost control of her motor vehicle on the ice-covered roadway.  The motor vehicle left the roadway and collided with the embankment. There was no injury, the seatbelt was used, the airbag did deploy, and the motor vehicle sustained moderate damage. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
 
MV Crash:
At 7:14 a.m., Deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover crash on STH 69, north of Holloway Road, in the Town of Washington.   Andrew Ryan Kubly, 26, Monroe, had been travelling north on STH 69 when he lost control of his vehicle on some ice. The vehicle slid across STH 69 and into the southbound ditch when it rolled onto its side. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Kubly reported wearing his seatbelt, there was no airbag deployment, and he sustained injuries. Kubly was transported to Monroe Clinic ER by private motor vehicle.
 
MV Crash:
At 11:03 a.m., Deputies responded to the southern intersection of CTH E and Golf Course Road, in Decatur Township, for a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash with no injuries reported. Chad A. Gartwaite, 42, Brodhead, was pulling away from the stop sign on Golf Course Road, turning south onto CTH E, when a second vehicle operated by Jason T. Meehan, 32, Orfordville, struck his vehicle while turning left from CTH E onto Golf Course Road. Both vehicles sustained moderate front and driver’s side damage and were driven from the scene. There were no airbags deployed and both subjects were wearing seat belts. Meehan was cited for Operate with a Revoked Driver’s License and Operate without Motor Vehicle Insurance.   Meehan was released pending court.
