The following incidents occurred on January 8, 2014:
At 5:17 a.m., Deputies responded to the N6700 Block of CTH A, Town of Adams, for a car vs. deer collision. Curtis L. Saalsaa, age 43, of Argyle, was traveling north when a deer collided with his vehicle. Curtis reported wearing his seatbelt and was not injured in the collision. His vehicle sustained minor damage to the front and there was no airbag deployment. Curtis was able to drive the vehicle form the scene.
P & P Violation / Arrest:
At 8:31 a.m., Deputies arrested Marcella N. Ingram, 36, Monroe, at the Green County Justice Center on a Probation / Parole violation. Ingram was jailed.
At 4:49 p.m., Deputies investigated a snowmobile accident that occurred on the Badger State Trail, in the N3400 Block, in the Town of Monroe. Brian M. Budak, 27, of West Des Moines, IA, was operating a snowmobile southbound on the Badger State Trail when he drove off the trail to avoid a collision with another snowmobile. In an attempt to remove the snowmobile from the ditch, Brian lifted up the rear of the snowmobile as Shawn P. Budak, 47, of Monroe, operated the throttle and the snowmobile (with studded track) backed over Brian’s leg. Brian was transported to MCER for his injuries. Brian was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
At 5:23 p.m., Deputies responded to the W1100 block of Dunphy Road, in the Town of Albany, for a vehicle vs. deer crash. Kristi L. Marti, 33, of Monticello, was driving west on Dunphy Road when a deer collided with her motor vehicle. Marti was not injured, was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
MV Crash / OWI Arrest:
At 5:31 p.m., Deputies were advised of a traffic complaint that had occurred on STH 11 @ CTH OK. The reporting person advised the vehicle was all over the roadway and was forcing other vehicles off the road. The motor vehicle turned westbound on CTH KS when the reporting person advised the vehicle had crashed into a ditch. Deputies, Juda Fire Department, 1st Response and Monroe EMS responded to the crash, which occurred on CTH KS, east of Schindler Road, in the Town of Jefferson. The operator, Karen L. Wirth, 51, Monroe, was wearing a seatbelt, suffered injuries, and the airbags did not deploy. Wirth was transported to Monroe Clinic Hospital by EMS. The vehicle sustained moderate damage was towed from the scene. Wirth was arrested for 3rd Offense Operating While under the Influence and was cited for Failure to Maintain Control and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance. Wirth posted bond and was released pending court.
At 5:48 p.m., Vicki L. Krenz, 48, of Blanchardville, collided with a deer on Yankee Hollow Road, east of Loyalty Road, in the Town of York. Krenz was not injured in the crash and was wearing her seat belt. The airbags did not deploy. Krenz had severe damage to the vehicle, but was able to drive it from the scene.
