The following incidents occurred on January 20, 2014:
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 5:12 p.m., Deputies were dispatched to the N4900 block of STH 59, Albany Township, for a car vs. deer accident. Investigation found that a vehicle operated by Ann D. Sills, 50, of Brooklyn, was traveling east on STH 59 when a deer entered the roadway and collided with the her vehicle. Sills advised she was wearing her seatbelt and was not injured. There was no airbag deployment in the vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate front driver’s side damage and was driven from the scene.
At 7:12 p.m., Deputies, Monroe Fire and EMS responded to W4600 STH 59, in the Town of Sylvester, for a one-vehicle rollover crash. A car driven by Kiley C. Flynn, 16, Monroe, was going eastbound, negotiating a curve, when the car started to slide on the snow-covered roadway. The car went into the north ditch where it overturned. The driver was able to get out of the car on her own. Flynn stated she was injured, was wearing a seatbelt and there was no airbag deployment. The car received moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
