January 26, 2014:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on Saturday, January 25, 2014:

OWI:

At 2:15 AM, Deputies responded to the N8800 Block of County Hwy O, New Glarus Township, for a report of a vehicle in the ditch. Investigation revealed that Brock A. Dockter, 49, of NewGlarus, was northbound when he lost control of his vehicle due to weather conditions. The vehicle entered the ditch and became stuck. Dockter proceeded to go back to New Glarus and requested assistance from Casey J. Klossner, 22, of Monticello. Klossner gave Dockter a ride back to his vehicle. Both Dockter and Klossner were arrested for OWI 1st Offense. Both were also cited for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration. Both were released to a responsible party.

Traffic Offense:

At 3:21 AM, Deputies responded to the intersection of STH 11 and County Hwy KK, Monroe Township, for a vehicle in the ditch. Investigation resulted in Jose Ignacio Sanchez Baravo, 21, of South Beloit, being cited for Operating a Vehicle Without a Valid Driver’s License. He was released pending court.

M/V Crash:

At 9:08 AM, Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash on East Lake Avenue and North Pratt Road, in the Village of Monticello. Stephanie M. Lokken, 20, of Oregon, lost control of her vhicle due to ice on the roadway. The vehicle entered the ditch and became stuck. Lokken and her passenger were both wearing safety belts and were uninjured. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene. The airbags did not deploy.

Traffic Offense:

At 3:53 PM, Deputies stopped a vehicle for a violation on STH 69, near Industrial Drive, New Glarus. The driver, Patrick M. Gerdes, 21, of Monroe, was cited for Speeding and Operating Without a Valid Driver’s License. He was released pending court.

M/V Crash:

At 6:24 PM, Deputies responded to the W4600 block of STH 11, Jefferson Township, for a semi vs. deer crash. Richard A. Ostrander, 53, of Monroe, was westbound when a deer entered the roadway and collided with his vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. The airbags did not deploy. Ostrander advised he was wearing his safety belt and was uninjured.

M/V Crash:

At 11:21 PM, Deputies, along with Brooklyn EMS, FD, and Bellevile PD, responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash in the W1400 block of Zweifel Road, Brooklyn Township.  Matthew G. Goke, 19, of Belleville, was eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle due to ice on the roadway. The vehicle entered the ditch and rolled once before coming to rest on its side. Goke advised he was wearing his safety belt and was uninjured. The vehicle sustained severe damage without airbag deployment. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
