February 02, 2014:  Daily News Release

The following incident occurred on January 31, 2014: 

At 10:53 PM, Deputies responded to Sir Buks Tavern on CTH KK, in the Town of Monroe, for an assault complaint. The offender fled the scene. At 7:05 PM, Deputies completed a follow-up investigation into a disturbance.   Investigation resulted in Chelsea R. Knell, 24, of Monroe, being arrested for Battery. Knell was booked into jail and released pending court.  Further charges will be referred to the Green County District Attorney for a charging decision.
The following incidents occurred on February 1, 2014:
 Drug/Narcotic Violation:
At 1:46 AM, Deputies stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation in the 2800 block of 13th Street, Monroe. Lucas C. Patterson, 29, of Monroe, was arrested for Felony Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping. Patterson was jailed pending court. Monroe Police Department Officers and K-9 assisted with the traffic stop.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 8:22 AM, Deputies responded to a crash on STH 11, at STH 81, in the Town of Spring Grove.  Juan Reynoso Palacio, 47, Beloit, had been travelling towards Beloit when he lost control of the vehicle on snow-covered roads. The vehicle struck a road sign and sustained moderate front and front-left-quarter-panel damage. The vehicle was driven from the scene once it was pulled out of the ditch. There were no injuries reported, seat belt usage was reported, and there was no airbag deployment.  The driver was cited for No Insurance and was released pending court.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 1:04 PM, Deputies investigated a crash that occurred at the intersection of 2nd Street and 3rd Avenue, in the Village of New Glarus. Garrison C. Ott, 52, New Glarus, was operating a Village of New Glarus snow plow eastbound on 8th Avenue; Mark LeRoy Douma, 42, New Glarus, had been northbound on 2nd Street when the plow operator, Ott, drove past the Stop Sign on 8th Avenue without stopping.  Douma took evasive action and struck a snow bank on the east side of the road.
The Village plow sustained no damage as this was a non-contact crash. Douma's vehicle sustained minor front- left- bumper damage and was driven from the scene. The snow plow sustained no damage.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 3:41 PM, Deputies located a single vehicle rollover crash, in the N3800 block of STH 59, in Sylvester Township. The vehicle, was located unoccupied in the south ditch. The vehicle, operated by Tammy Sue Herrington, 41, South Wayne, was westbound on STH 59 and lost control of the vehicle due to a combination of speed, slushy/wet roadway, and insufficient tire tread depth. The vehicle began to slide and traveled across both lanes before entering the south shoulder. The vehicle struck a snow-filled ditch and traveled down an embankment, where it overturned several times, coming to rest on its wheels. The vehicle sustained severe overall damage, no airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene.
Herrington and her passenger reported wearing seatbelts and claimed no injuries. Herrington was cited for Failure to Maintain Control of Motor Vehicle and Operate Motor Vehicle without Insurance and was released pending a court date.
