March 16, 2014: Daily News Release
The following incidents occurred on March 15, 2014:
At 3:26 a.m., Deputies stopped a motor vehicle for a traffic violation on STH 11, near Hiltbrand Lane, in the Town of Jefferson. A passenger, Eduardo Lujan Uriarte, age 32, of Beloit, was arrested on a civil process warrant for Noise though Beloit PD. Uriarte posted cash bond and was released.
At 3:34 a.m., Deputies received a traffic complaint of a vehicle that was traveling at high rate of speed on CTH CC, just south of CTH W, in Exeter Township. The offending motor vehicle was located in the City of Monroe. The driver, Craig R Kennison, 20, Monroe, was arrested for OWI 1st Offense, cited for Unreasonable and Imprudent Speed, and Prohibited Alcohol Concentration. Kennison was released pending court.
At 4:34 p.m., Deputies received a traffic complaint on a motor vehicle on STH 59, near the Monroe Airport, in the Town of Monroe. Investigation resulted in the driver, Kyle L. Porter, 28, of Monroe, being arrested for Possession of THC. Porter was released pending court. A passenger, Gary T. Metz, 29, of Monroe, was cited for Failure to Wear Seat Belt and released pending court.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 5:06 p.m., Deputies responded to the W8100 block of CTH Y, in Jordan Township, for a motor vehicle crash. Mary M. Kaiser, 56, of Warren, IL, was westbound on CTH Y when a deer collided with her vehicle. Kaiser was properly restrained and was uninjured. The vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage with no airbag deployment and was driven from the scene.
Driver’s License Violation:
At 8:32 p.m., Deputies stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation on CTH EE, west of Silver Road, Town of Mount Pleasant. Investigation into the stop resulted in the driver, Jorge Luis Huesca-Guerrero, 35, of Janesville, being cited for Operating with No Valid Driver’s License (2nd Offense). He was released pending court.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 8:35 p.m., Deputies were dispatched to the W2200 block of STH 92, Brooklyn Township, for a motor vehicle crash. Jon R. Byrd, 41, Monticello, was traveling west on STH 92 when a deer collided with his vehicle. Byrd advised he was not injured and was wearing his seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment in the vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate driver’s side damage and was driven from the scene.
