The following incidents occurred on March 31, 2014:

Motor Vehicle Crash / Bail jumping:
At 5:17 A.M., Deputies responded to a vehicle rollover crash in the N7300 block of Postville Road, in the Town of York. The driver left the scene prior to law enforcement arrival, but was located later.  The investigation revealed that at approximately 1:30 A.M., the driver and sole occupant, Megan Leigh Norton, age 21, of Monticello, was operating eastbound on Postville Road, east of CTH A, when she lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a downhill curve covered in loose gravel. The vehicle fishtailed counter clockwise, Norton overcorrected, causing the vehicle to fishtail clockwise and enter the north ditch. The vehicle continued to spin and slid sideways across the road. The bead on the driver's side tires brok,e causing the rims to dig into the pavement. The front driver's side quarter panel slammed into the embankment in the south ditch. The vehicle rolled onto its roof, spun clockwise, and slid down the hill on the pavement. The vehicle came to rest upside down, facing northwest on the roadway. Speed was a significant contributing factor.  Norton reported not wearing her seat belt and was later treated at the Monroe Clinic Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. Norton’s vehicle sustained very severe damage to all areas. Both front airbags deployed during the crash and it was towed from the scene. Norton was arrested for Bail Jumping (misdemeanor) and cited for Criminal Operating while Revoked, Too Fast for Conditions, No Motor Vehicle Insurance, Non-Registration of a Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Wear a Seatbelt. Norton was jailed pending court or cash bond.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 7:04 A.M., Deputies responded to a report of a car vs. deer crash on Dougherty Creek Road, near Apple Grove Road, in Adams Township. An investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by Kandy E. Benson, 28, of Argyle, was northbound on Dougherty Creek Road when two deer collided with the front end of her vehicle. Benson was not injured and she was wearing her seat belt. The vehicle sustained moderate damage. The airbags did not deploy. The vehicle was driven from the scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 1:38 P.M., Deputies were dispatched to investigate a car/deer accident that occurred on STH 81, east of Skinner Hollow Road, Monroe Township. Investigation revealed that a car, driven by Jane A. Nelson, 72, of Blanchardville, was traveling west on STH 81 when a deer ran into the roadway and collided with her vehicle. Nelson was not injured in the accident and was wearing a seat belt. No air bags were deployed in her vehicle. Nelson's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 4:59 P.M., Deputies, Monroe EMS and Juda Fire Department responded to the intersection of STH 11 and CTH S, in the Town of Jefferson, for a two-vehicle crash with injuries. Cheryl L. Johnson, 55, of Juda, and her passengers were traveling west on STH 11, and were slowing to turn south onto CTH S to travel into Juda. Johnson turned in front of an eastbound truck that was approaching the intersection. Johnson and her passengers were wearing safety restraints and the airbags did not deploy. Johnson sustained injuries, but her passengers were not injured. The operator of the eastbound truck, Jessie J. Tanner, 20, of Beloit, and his passenger were wearing their seatbelts and the airbags did not deploy. Tanner sustained injuries and was transported to Monroe E.R.  Johnson refused treatment. Johnson's vehicle sustained severe front-end damage and was towed from the scene.  Tanner's vehicle received severe front-end damage and was towed from the scene. Johnson was cited for Failure to Yield to the Right of Way while making a left hand turn and released pending court.
