The following incidents occurred on April 30, 2014:
At 11:07 P.M., the Monroe Police Department responded to a residence in the City of Monroe to investigate a crash. It was discovered the crash occurred in the N2000 block of Jeffery Road, Town of Clarno. Investigation revealed Amanda K. Meighan, age 21, of Monroe, was northbound on Jeffery Road when she lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle entered the ditch and struck a mailbox. She then fled the scene. Meighan advised she was wearing her safety belt and was uninjured. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Meighan was cited for Inattentive Driving, Operating While Suspended and Operating a Vehicle Without Insurance. She was released pending court.
Operate Under the Influence:
At 11:33 P.M., Deputies responded to a vehicle in the ditch on CTH J at CTH H, Town of York. Investigation resulted in the driver, Lisa M. Clark, age 50, of Monticello, being arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of intoxicants. Clark was cited for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration and released to a responsible party pending court. The vehicle was not damaged and was towed from the ditch.
The following incidents occurred on May 1, 2014:
At 3:40 P.M., a Deputy responded to the N9100 block of STH 78, Town of York, for a vehicle vs. turkey crash.
Investigation revealed Alyssa M. Kittleson, age 23, of Mineral Point, was southbound when a turkey struck her windshield. Kittleson sustained injuries and was transported by private vehicle for treatment. The vehicle sustained moderate damage, with no airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene.
Vehicle vs. Deer Crash:
At 9:21 P.M., a Deputy responded to the W7400 block of STH 81, Town of Jordan, for a vehicle vs. deer crash.
Investigation revealed Heather M. Kallembach, age 38, of Argyle, was westbound on STH 81 when a deer entered the roadway and collided with her vehicle. Kallembach was not injured in the crash and was wearing her seat belt. The air bags did not deploy. There was moderate damage to the vehicle and it was driven from the scene.
