The following incidents occurred on May 8, 2014:
Driver’s License Violation / Drug Arrest:
At 1:03 AM, Deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the N4600 block of STH 104, Albany Township. Investigation resulted with the driver, Alexander L. Mulcahey, 23, of Sun Prairie, being cited for Operating While Suspended and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. A passenger, Michael D. Gaus, 24, of Madison, was cited for Possession of THC and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were released pending court. The Green County Sheriff's Department K9 unit assisted with the stop.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 6:50 AM, David W. Wright, Jr., 52, of Gratiot, was westbound on STH 11, near Dill Road, Cadiz Township, when a turkey entered the roadway and collided with his vehicle. Wright and his passenger advised they were wearing safety belts and were uninjured. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. The airbags were not deployed.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 7:50 PM, Deputies responded to the N9400 block of STH 69, in the Town of New Glarus, for a one-vehicle crash versus a fence and phone junction box. The driver fled the scene of the crash, but was later located on STH 69 and Argue Road. A car operated by Timothy A. Hultman, 38, Madison, was going northbound when he stated he swerved to miss an animal on the road. The vehicle then went into the east ditch where it struck a fence and phone junction box. The car then drove back onto the road and continued northbound. The driver eventually stopped due to the damage of the car. The occupants were not injured and were wearing seatbelts. There was no airbag deployment. The car received severe damage and was left at STH 69 and Argue Road. The fence owner and TDS were notified about the damage to their property. Hultman will be cited for Failure to Maintain Control, Failure to Notify Law Enforcement of a Crash and Hit and Run. The passenger and owner of the car, Clayton M. Causey, 28, Madison, will be cited for Failure to have Insurance. The New Glarus and Belleville P.D. assisted in the crash investigation.
At 10:22 PM, Deputies responded to a residence on High School Road, in the Town of Jefferson, for a domestic dispute incident. James J. Starr, 39, Juda was arrested for Domestic Disorderly Conduct and Intimidation of a Victim. Starr was held in jail pending court.
