The following incidents occurred May 31, 2014:

Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 1:42 A.M., Deputies responded to the W5900 block of STH 39, New Glarus Township, for a motorcycle vs. deer crash. Turk D. Olson, 53, of New Glarus, was eastbound when a deer entered the roadway and collided with Olson's motorcycle. The motorcycle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Olson was wearing eye protection and received injuries, but refused medical treatment.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 4:59 A.M., Christopher M. Malkow, 22, Monroe, was eastbound on CTH FF, east of Statz Road, in the Town of Sylvester, when he collided with a deer. No injury, seat belt used, no airbag deployment, minor damage and the vehicle was driven from the scene.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 11:09 A.M., Deputies, Monticello Fire Dept, Albany EMS, Monroe EMS and Med-Flight helicopter responded to a motorcycle crash on CTH F at Purintun Road in the Town of Mt Pleasant.  Donald J. Wilson, 28, of Stillman Valley, IL was northbound on CTH F when he failed to negotiate a curve on CTH F at Purintun Road. Donald Wilson and his passenger, Ashley A. Wilson, 27, of Stillman Valley, IL were both ejected from the motorcycle. Donald Wilson was transported by the Albany EMS and Ashley Wilson was transported by Med-Flight Helicopter to the UW Hospital in Madison for injuries they sustained in the crash. Both were not wearing helmets but were wearing eye protection. The motorcycle sustained moderate right side damage and was removed by the owner. Donald Wilson will be cited for Failure to Keep Vehicle Under Control.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 9:05 P.M., Deputies were dispatched to investigate a vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of CTH E and Miller Lane, Decatur Township.  Investigation revealed that a car, driven by David A. Hanus, 23, of Janesville, was traveling east on CTH E when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the east side of the roadway and struck a fence and corner fence post. Hanus was not injured in the accident and was wearing a seat belt. Hanus’ four passengers were not injured and all were wearing seat belts. No air bags were deployed in the vehicle. The car involved in the accident sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Hanus was cited for Failure to Have Vehicle Under Control and for Inattentive Driving and was released pending court.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 9:39 P.M., Deputies responded to the N7700 block of STH 69, in New Glarus Township, for a vehicle vs. deer collision. Mark W. Miller, 33, of New Glarus, was northbound on STH 69 when a single deer entered the roadway and collided with his vehicle. Miller and his passenger were properly restrained and were uninjured. Miller's vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage, no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 11:23 P.M., Deputies responded to the N2300 block of Allen Road, Cadiz Township, for a vehicle vs. deer crash. Michael S. Stewart, 60, of Browntown, was southbound when a deer entered the roadway and collided with his vehicle. Stewart advised he was wearing his safety belt and was uninjured. The vehicle sustained moderate damage without airbag deployment. The vehicle was driven from the scene.
