The following incidents occurred on July 3, 2014:

Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 2:17 PM, Deputies, Monroe Fire and Monroe EMS, responded to the intersection of Clarno Road and Melvin Road, in Clarno Township, for a motor vehicle crash. Terrance B. Hanna, 62, of Monroe, was stopped at the stop sign on Melvin Road at Clarno Road. Hanna drove forward into the path of a northbound vehicle on Clarno Road, driven by Lynne N. Kubly, 76, of Monroe. Kubly was transported by Monroe EMS to the Monroe Clinic ER for injuries sustained in the crash. Kubly was wearing her seat belt at the time of impact. Hanna was not injured and was also wearing his seat belt. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene. Kubly vehicle’s airbags deployed and Hanna vehicle’s airbags did not. No citations have been issued at this time as the investigation is still ongoing.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 4:12 PM, Deputies responded to the W7500 block of CTH Y, west of Hiawatha Road, in Jordan Township, for a motor vehicle crash. Kristen Lee Walters, 19, of South Wayne, was westbound on CTH Y when a deer entered the roadway. Walters took evasive action to avoid the deer and lost control of her vehicle.  Walters overcorrected and began to slide where she entered the north ditch and collided with the ditch/embankment.  Walters' vehicle sustained moderate damage, no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene. Walters was the lone vehicle occupant, was properly restrained, and was uninjured.
