July 28, 2014:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on July 27, 2014:

Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 12:21 PM, Deputies responded to the Monroe Clinic Hospital ER for a delayed report of a motorcycle crash with injuries in the N3600 Block of CTH J in the Town of Monroe. An investigation revealed that at 12:30 AM, a motorcycle, driven by David H. Rosebrook, 41, of Argyle, had turned northbound onto CTH J, from STH 81, and lost control of the vehicle. Rosebrook stated he had swerved to miss a deer in the roadway.  The motorcycle left the road and entered the east ditch line. Rosebrook sustained injuries that were being treated at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. The motorcycle sustained moderate damages to the left side of the bike. Rosebrook was able to drive the bike from the scene and failed to report the crash to law enforcement. Rosebrook was not wearing a helmet and did have eye protection.   Rosebrook will be cited for Failure to Report a Crash to Law Enforcement. The crash's factual basis and contributing circumstances remain under investigation.
 
Assault"
At 1:29 PM, Deputies, New Glarus Police Dept., a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource Park Ranger and New Glarus EMS were dispatched to the New Glarus Woods State Park to investigate an assault that occurred between two adult females. One of the females, identified as Darcey L. Gruling, 47, of Beloit, was transported to the Monroe Clinic Hospital by New Glarus EMS for treatment of injuries from the altercation. Both Gruling and the other offender, identified as Mandy L. Hansen, 34, of Beloit, were cited for Disorderly Conduct and Battery. Both were released pending court.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 1:47 PM, Deputies, Belleville PD, New Glarus PD, EMS and Fire Department responded to a vehicle crash with injuries on STH 69, at Streiff Lane, in the Town of New Glarus. An investigation revealed that a pick-up truck, driven by Genaro A. Cruz Guifarro, 19, of Madison, was attempting to turn around, making a left turn onto STH 69 from Streiff Road, when Cruz collided with a car traveling northbound on STH 69. This vehicle was operated by Margie A. Noreik, 27, of Monticello. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene. There was no airbag deployment in either vehicle.  Noreik was transported by the New Glarus EMS to the Monroe Clinic Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Cruz, along with his four occupants, were not injured in the crash.  Cruz was cited for Failure to Yield While Making a Left Turn, Causing Injury and Operating a Vehicle Without Insurance. Cruz was released pending a court appearance. The crash remains under investigation and additional charges are pending.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 7:42 PM, Deputies responded to the W5200 block of STH 11, in the Town of Monroe, for a motor vehicle crash. Alec E. Fruin, 15, Beloit, was going traveling eastbound on STH 11 when a deer collided with the vehicle. The occupants were wearing seatbelts. There was no airbag deployment. A passenger, Scott A. Weidner, 46, Beloit, received injuries when the deer shattered the front passenger window and windshield. Weidner declined medical attention at the scene. The rest of the occupants were not injured. The car received severe damage and was later towed from the scene.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 10:38 PM, Deputies responded to the W700 block of STH 59, in the Town of Albany, for a vehicle versus deer crash. Rebecca L. Monte, 38, Juda, was going westbound when a deer collided with her vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle were not injured and were wearing seatbelts. There was no airbag deployment. The car received moderate damage and was driven from the scene by the operator.
