The following incident occurred on August 1, 2014:

Operate Under the Influence of Alcohol:
At 11:58 P.M., Deputies observed a vehicle drive through the median and grass area, then into the Sheriff's Office parking lot, from the 2800 block of 6th Street, City of Monroe.  The driver, Richard M. Swieca, age 53, of Monroe, was arrested for First Offense Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the infIuence. He was also cited for Failure to Maintain Control and released to a responsible party pending an initial court appearance.
The following incidents occurred on August 2, 2014:
Alcohol Offense:
At 1:10 A.M., Deputies located a female wearing dark clothing walking on STH 69, near CTH DR, Town of Monroe.  Kaytlyn M. Knox, age 19, of Madison, was cited for First Offense Underage Consumption of Alcohol. She was released pending court.
Operate Under the Influence of Alcohol:
At 2:48 A.M., Deputies stopped a vehicle on Church Road, at Buckskin Road, Town of Washington. The driver, Matthew B. Austin, age 24, of Monroe, was arrested for First Offense Operating While Under the Influence and cited for Defective Stop Lamps. He was released to a responsible party pending an initial court appearance.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 4:16 P.M., Deputies responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash on CTH M, .5 mile south of Smock Valley Road, Town of Jordan. Gary L. Burrington, age 63, of Argyle, was northbound on CTH M, attempting to negotiate a curve, when he entered the gravel shoulder and lost control. The vehicle overturned and struck a fence before coming to rest. Burrington was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt. No airbags were deployed on his vehicle. Burrington's pickup sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
Vehicle vs. Deer Crash:
At 7:25 P.M., a Deputy responded to the N8700 block of CTH D, Town of Exeter, for a vehicle vs. deer crash. Investigation revealed James L. Furniss, age 72, of Monroe, was traveling southbound on CTH D when a deer entered the roadway and collided with his vehicle. Furniss was not injured, was wearing a seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
