The following incidents occurred on August 3, 2014: 

Motor Vehicle Crash and Arrest:
At 12:30 A.M., Deputies, New Glarus PD, New Glarus Fire Department, Glarus EMS, and React Helicopter responded to Kubly Road and Argue Road, in the Town of Exeter, for a one-vehicle crash with injuries. Investigation revealed John E. Vetterli, age 57, of New Glarus, was eastbound on Kubly Road, in a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro, when he crossed Argue Road and collided with an embankment and a fence.  The vehicle sustained severe front-end damage and was towed to the Sheriff’s Office Impound. The vehicle was not equipped with airbags.  Vetterli was transported to UW Hospital by New Glarus EMS for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt. His passenger, Dylan Ray Schulz, age 22, of Belleville, was transported to UW hospital by React Helicopter for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.  He was not wearing a seatbelt. Vetterli was arrested for Causing Injury by Operating While Intoxicated and cited for Too Fast for Conditions and Failure to Wear Seatbelt. He was released pending court. Schulz will be cited for Failure to Wear Seatbelt.
 
Operate Under the Influence – Prescription Drugs:
At 2:39 A.M., Deputies responded to the N6700 block of Washington Road, Town of Washington, for a vehicle in the ditch. Investigation resulted with Robert A. Geyer, age 41, of Monroe, being arrested for Operating While Intoxicated 3rd Offense (medication related). He was jailed pending court or bond.
