December 12, 2015:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on December 11, 2015:

Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 8:39 AM, Deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crach at the intersection of STH 11 and Steiner Road, in the Town of Clarno. Phillip Lee Meier, 44, Monroe, was at the stop sign, facing south on Steiner Road, north of STH 11, when he pulled into the path of a vehicle on STH 11 driven by Justin G. Hoffman,  31, Monroe. Hoffman swerved to avoid a collision and his vehicle struck the curb on the southeast corner of the intersection before travelling southeast into the ditch, where it came to rest. The vehicle driven by Meier sustained no damage. Hoffman's vehicle sustained severe undercarriage damage and was towed from the scene.  No injuries were reported. All reported wearing their seatbelts and there was no airbag deployment. Meier was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way from a Stop Sign and released pending court.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 5:11 PM, Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash on STH 11, east of Smock Valley Road, Town of Monroe. Mandy M. Kent, 36, of Winslow, IL, was westbound on STH 11 when a deer collided with her vehicle. Kent was not injured, her seatbelt was used, and the airbags did deploy. The vehicle sustained moderate, front and passenger side damage and was towed from the scene.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 9:37 PM, Deputies responded to the area of CTH A, at Yankee Hollow Road, in the Town of York for a motor vehicle crash. Randall A.  Berg, 50, of Argyle, was traveling south on CTH A when a deer entered the roadway and collided with his vehicle. Berg advised he was not injured and was wearing his seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment in the vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate, front-end damage and was driven from the scene.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 11:05 PM, Deputies responded to the area of STH 11, at Ullom Road, in the Town of Cadiz, for a motor vehicle crash. Rebecca A. Good, 55, of South Wayne, was westbound on STH 11 when a deer collided with her vehicle. Good was not injured, was wearing her seatbelt, and the vehicle air bags did not deploy. Good’s vehicle sustained minor damage to its driver's side and was driven from the scene.
