December 19, 2015:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on December 18, 2015:

Traffic Arrest:
At 12:12 PM, Deputies cited William Michael Osbaugh, 21, of Brodhead, for Operating After Suspension on STH 11/81, at CTH KK, in the Town of Sylvester. Osbaugh was released pending court.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 2:01 PM, Deputies were dispatched to STH 59, at CTH DR, in the Town of Monroe, for a motor vehicle crash. Joyce A. Brannan, 65, Albany, was traveling west on STH 59 when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered roadway. Brannan collided with two road signs. There were no injuries, seatbelt was worn, and airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 2:18 PM, Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on STH 11, at CTH OK, in the Town of Spring Grove.  Savannah R. White, 18, Brodhead, was eastbound on STH 11 when she lost control on the icy stretch of roadway. The vehicle left the roadway and collided with a rock embankment. White received injuries, but declined EMS transport. The vehicle received severe front-end damage and was towed from the scene. White was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags did deploy. Juda FD and Monroe EMS assisted at the scene.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 2:25 PM, Deputies, along with Juda Fire Department and Monroe EMS, responded to a one-vehicle crash on STH 11, east of CTH OK, in the Town of Spring Grove. An investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Benjamin C. Roper, 22, of Waukesha, was eastbound on STH 11 when he lost control of his vehicle on the ice-covered roadway while attempting to avoid a prior motor vehicle crash. Roper entered the ditch and collided with a rock embankment. Roper sustained injuries and was transported to Monroe ER by EMS. His seatbelt was used and the airbag did deploy. The vehicle sustained severe front-end damage and was driven from the scene.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 2:41 PM, Deputies were advised of a vehicle crash in the W1900 block of STH 11, in the Town of Spring Grove. A pickup truck, driven by Byron E. Freeman, 46, Whitewater, was going eastbound on STH 11 when it slid into the ditch on the snow-covered road. The driver was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment. The truck received damage and was driven from the scene by the operator. The Brodhead P.D. assisted with the crash investigation.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash/Warrant Arrest:
At 5:18 PM, Lafayette County Sheriff's Office requested assistance with a motor vehicle crash on STH 11, west of Wayne Center Road, in the Town of Wayne.  Green County Deputies, South Wayne Fire Department. and Monroe EMS responded. A vehicle, operated by Robert W. Holst Jr., 42, of Monroe, was westbound on STH 11 when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered, slippery roadway. Holst entered the south ditch, where his vehicle overturned one time, coming to a rest on its side. Holst sustained injuries and was transported by EMS to Monroe Clinic Hospital. Holst claimed seatbelt usage and the airbag did not deploy. The vehicle sustained severe overall damage and was towed from the scene. A citation is pending against Holst by Lafayette County Sheriff Department for Operating after Revocation.  Holst was arrested by a Green County Deputy for a Grant County Warrant for Failure to Appear on Child Support. Holst was jailed in Green County, pending transfer to Grant County.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 6:58 PM, Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash that occurred in the W9400 Block of STH 81, in the Town of Adams. Anthony S. Gamez, 41, Argyle, was going westbound on STH 81 when he lost control on the snow/ice-covered roadway and collided with the embankment.  The occupants were not injured and were wearing seatbelts. There was no airbag deployment. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene by the driver.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 7:39 PM, Deputies responded to the N3000 block of Middle Juda Road, in the Town of Jefferson, for a vehicle crash. Joseph T. Klessinger, 17, Juda, was going westbound on Middle Juda Road when he went around a parked vehicle and his car started to slide on the ice/snow-covered road.  The vehicle collided with a tree and several mailboxes.  Klessinger was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 7:51 PM, Deputies responded to the N600 Block of STH 69, Town of Clarno, for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Mikah E. Holloway, 23, of Hopkins, MN, was traveling southbound on STH 69 when she lost control on the snow/ice-covered roadway. Holloway lost control of the vehicle and collided with a road sign. Holloway reported wearing her seatbelt, with no injuries.  There was no airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
