The following incidents were reported on Friday, December 25, 2015:
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 8:56 AM, Deputies responded to the W7200 block of STH 39, Town of New Glarus, for a motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Andrew D. Peterson, 23, of Madison, was traveling east on STH 39 when he crested a hill and observed a vehicle stopped in the road for several head of cattle that were loose on the road. Peterson swerved and struck one of the cattle that was in the ditch.
Peterson was not injured in the crash and was wearing his seat belt. Peterson had a passenger in his vehicle, Jared N. Groth, 21, of Madison. Groth was wearing his seat belt and was not injured in the crash. The air bags did not deploy in the vehicle. The vehicle had severe damage and was driven from the scene. Peterson was cited for Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance. He was released pending court.
