The following incidents occurred on January 6, 2016:

 

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 6:00 PM, William A. Schmidt, 69, of Blanchardville, was eastbound in the W8700 block of CTH H, Town of York, when a deer entered the roadway and collided with his vehicle. Schmidt was not injured in the crash and was wearing his seat belt. The air bags did not deploy. Schmidt had moderate damage to his vehicle and he drove it from the scene.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 6:32 AM, Deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash that occurred on STH 69, near Windmill Ridge Road, Town of New Glarus.  Kevin Adonis Castro Joya, 25, of Fitchburg, was traveling north on STH 69 when a deer ran into the roadway and collided with his vehicle.  Castro Joya was not injured in the accident and was wearing his seatbelt. Both front airbags and side airbags deployed in the vehicle upon striking the deer.  Castro Joya's vehicle sustained severe front-end damage and was left at the scene until the owner could make arrangements to have it removed.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 8:00 AM, Timothy C. Robertson, 54, Orangeville, IL, was travelling north on STH 69, just north of the WI/IL State Line, in the Town of Clarno when a deer ran into the side of his pickup truck.  Robertson was not injured and reported wearing his seat belt.  There was no airbag deployment.  The vehicle had moderate damage and was removed from the scene.

 

Traffic Arrest:

At 5:19 PM, Brenda K. Glendenning, 47, of Darlington, was cited for No Valid Driver's License in the W7300 block of STH 81, in the Town of Jordan.
