The following incidents were reported on Thursday, January 14, 2016:
Motor Vehicle Crash – Injury:
At 6:28 a.m., Deputies, Monticello FD and Green County EMS responded to the N4900 block of STH 69, in the Town of Washington, for a motor vehicle crash. Andreas Mueller, 54, of Oregon, was southbound when he lost control of the vehicle, crossing the center line and entering the east ditch line. The vehicle rolled several times and struck a house before coming to rest. Mueller reported wearing his seatbelt and was transported by EMS to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, Brandt C. Schneider, 39, of Madison, reported wearing his seatbelt and was transported by EMS to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle sustained very severe damage and was towed from the scene. There was no airbag deployment.
The residence sustained moderate damage to the foundation, porch, and front window.
No citations were issued.
Motor Vehicle Crash – Hit and Run:
At 4:34 p.m., Deputies, with the assistance from Monroe PD, responded to the W5700 Block of CTH P, in the Town of Clarno, for a hit and run crash. It was reported that a vehicle was traveling east when it lost control, struck the south gravel shoulder, and overcorrected before overturning into the south ditch. The vehicle came to rest on its side.
An investigation found that Jay J. Foulker, 45, Monroe, assisted Brian J. Wyss, 45, Monroe, in fleeing the scene. Contact was made with Foulker, who admitted to giving Wyss a ride into Monroe.
The vehicle sustained moderate damage to all areas and was towed from the scene to the Green County Sheriff’s Impound. There was no airbag deployment and seatbelt usage was unknown.

Motor Vehicle Crash – Vehicle vs. Deer:
At 5:51 p.m., Deputies responded to the W8100 block of STH 81, in the Town of Jordan, for a report of a vehicle vs. deer accident. Grant A. Gilbertson, 91, Argyle, was traveling westbound when a deer entered the roadway and collided with his vehicle. Gilbertson and his passenger both reported being uninjured and that they were both wearing their seat belts. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and the air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was driven from the scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage:
At 9:41 p.m., Deputies responded to the N600 block of Clarno Road, in the Town of Clarno, for a report of a single vehicle accident. Jacob J. Johnson, 19, Monroe, was traveling southbound when he lost control of his vehicle and entered the east ditch line, striking a culvert. The vehicle came to a rest in a field. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and the side air bags deployed. Johnson was not injured and reported wearing his seat belt. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
