The following incident occurred on January 17, 2016:
Motor Vehicle Crash/OWI:
At 12:10 AM, Deputies and New Glarus Police responded to CTH W and STH 92, in the Town of Exeter, for a suspicious person in that area. Deputies located an unoccupied pickup truck that had been in a motor vehicle crash. The truck has been traveling south on STH 92 when it failed to negotiate the curve at the intersection at CTH W. The truck entered the south ditch, struck an arrow/curve road sign, went airborne down an embankment, landed on its wheels and continued south into the field. The driver had left the scene, but was located. The driver, Patrick P. McNamar, age 44, of Belleville, was arrested for Operating while under the Influence, Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration, cited for Hit and Run, Failure to Maintain Control, Failure to Notify Police, Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle and Obstruction. McNamar was released pending court.
