January 22, 2016:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on 21 January 2016:

Recovered Stolen M/V

At 4:32 P.M., Deputies, with the assistance from Monroe PD, conducted a traffic stop in the City of Monroe on a vehicle reported as stolen.  Investigation determined a 13 year old female stole the m/v from a relative in Dubuque IA. The m/v was returned to the owner, the juvenile was released to her parents and Iowa authorities will conduct any further investigation.

 

Warrant Arrest:

At 5:18 PM, Deputies arrested Elizabeth E. Amundson, 29, of Monroe on a Warrant for Receiving Stolen Property in the City of Brodhead.  Amundson was jailed pending court or bond.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 5:22 PM Deputies responded to a mvc in in the W7700 block of STH 11 in the Town of Cadiz.  Frederick A. Sulzer, 60, Monroe, was traveling E/B on STH 11 when a deer ran into the roadway and collided with his vehicle. The driver was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment. The vehicle received minor damage and was driven from the scene by the operator.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash

At 6:21 PM Deputies responded to N6300 CTH A in the Town of Adams for a mvc.  Jonathan R. Ozment, 45, Barneveld was traveling S/B on CTH A when a deer rant into the roadway and collided with his vehicle.  The driver was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt.  There was no airbag deployment.  The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene by the driver.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash

At 6:17 PM, Deputies responded to the N200 block of CTH G, Town of Spring Grove for a mvc.  Lea A. Brookman, 63, of Davis IL was traveling southbound on CTH G when a deer entered the roadway and collided with her vehicle.  Brookman reported wearing her seatbelt and was uninjured.  The vehicle sustained moderate damage and there was no airbag deployment.  The vehicle was driven from the scene.
