The following incidents occurred on January 31, 2016:

Motor Vehicle Crash / OWI Arrest:

At 4:22 PM, Deputies, Monroe EMS, and Monroe Fire Department, responded to the area of the intersection of STH 11 Westbound and STH 81 for a motor vehicle crash.  Karen S. DeWall, 64, of Cambridge, had turned onto STH 81 east when her vehicle was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Paul A. Bakko, 50, of Monroe.  DeWall reported being uninjured and wearing her seatbelt at the time of the incident. There was no airbag deployment in her vehicle, but it sustained moderate rear-end damage and was towed from the scene.  Bakko was transport to the Monroe ER for injuries and he stated that he was wearing his seatbelt.   Bakko’s vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage and was towed from the scene.  Bakko was arrested for Operating Under the Influence 1st, and Disorderly Conduct.  Bakko was released pending court.

 

Traffic Arrest:

At 4:41 PM, Deputies cited Shannon M. Turnbill, 38, Albany, for Operating with a Suspended Driver’s License in the N8200 Block of STH 104.  Turnbill was released pending court.

 

OWI/Drug/Narc:

At 6:05 PM, Deputies stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation on N. Cincinnati Street, near 3rd Street, Village of Albany.  Investigation into the stop resulted in the driver, Skylar C. Brewer, 17, of Brooklyn, being arrested for Operating While under the Influence (1st Offense - Drugs).  Brewer was cited for:  Defective Registration Plate Lamp, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Brewer was released pending court.  A passenger, identified as Cody L. Calkins, 20, of Albany, was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was released pending court.  Albany Police and Sheriff's Office K9 Unit assisted with the stop.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 6:14 PM, Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash in the N6900 block of CTH A, Town of Adams.  Ricky K. Butler, 56, of Argyle, was traveling south on CTH A when a deer entered the roadway and collided with Butler.  Butler and passengers advised they were not injured and were wearing their seatbelts. There was no airbag deployment in the vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage and was driven from the scene.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 7:01 PM, Deputies responded to the N6200 block of CTH E, Town of Albany, for a motor vehicle crash.  Christie M Fry, 39, of Albany, was traveling south on CTH E when a deer entered the roadway and collided with her vehicle.  Fry and passenger advised they were not injured and were wearing their seatbelts. There was no airbag deployment in the vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate front-passenger-side damage and was driven from the scene.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 8:30 PM, Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash in the N7900 block of STH 104, Town of Brooklyn.  Dallas C. Halvorson, 32, Albany, was traveling south on STH 104, when his vehicle hit some black ice and he lost control of his vehicle.  The vehicle entered the west ditch and rolled 1-1/2 times. Halvorson advised he was not injured and wearing his seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment in the vehicle. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
