February 12, 2016:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on February 11, 2016:

Motor Vehicle vs. Deer Crash:

 

Keith Allen Fegre, N8900 block of York Center Road, in the Town of York.  

 

Traffic Arrest, Drug & Warrant Arrest:

 

At 4:16 PM, Deputies stopped a vehicle in the W400 Block of STH 81, in the Town of Spring Grove, for a traffic violation.  The driver, Dirk R. McCall, 35, of Browntown, was cited for Suspended Registration, Unlawful Display of Registration, and Operate without a Valid Driver's License 2nd Offense.  McCall was released pending court.  Passenger, Jillian A. Gowen, 29, of Browntown, was arrested on a Probation Violation issued through the Department of Corrections.  Gowen was transported and held in the Green County Jail.  Another passenger, Alan S. Kirt, 30, of Edgerton, was arrested on a Probation Violation issued through the Department of Corrections and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Kirt was transported and held in the Green County Jail.  Green County K-9 and the Brodhead Police Department assisted at the scene.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash, OWI & Drug Arrest:

At 10:02 PM, Deputies responded to a vehicle crash on STH 69, at Hill Lane, Town of Monroe.  Gregory C. Schmitz, 66, of Monroe, was northbound on STH 69 when he attempted to turn onto Hill Lane.  Schmitz lost control of his vehicle, causing it to collide with and get stuck on a snow bank.  Schmitz left the scene, returning to his residence.  Deputies contacted Schmitz and he was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While under the Influence (alcohol & drug) 1st Offense.  Schmitz was cited for Failure to Maintain Control of a vehicle and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Schmitz was released pending court.  Schmitz was not injured in the crash, claimed seatbelt usage and the airbag did not deploy.  The vehicle sustained minor to moderate damage and was removed from the scene.
