March 05, 2016: Daily News Release
The following incidents occurred on March 4, 2016:
At 3:39 PM, Deputies responded to the N600 Block of Mt. Hope Road, in the Town of Spring Grove, for a report of a vehicle in the ditch. Upon arrival, Deputies found that the driver Steven R. Rowley, 50, of Brodhead, was in the vehicle. Investigation resulted in Rowley being arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle-3rd Offense, Resisting Arrest and cited for Failure to Maintain Control of Vehicle. Rowley was jailed pending court or bond. The Monroe Police Department assisted with the incident.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 3:45 PM, Deputies and the New Glarus Police responded to a motor vehicle crash in the W5100 block of CTH W, in the Town of New Glarus. Grace A. Moen, 16, New Glarus, was travelling westbound on CTH W, negotiating a curve, when she lost control. The vehicle went across the road and into the south ditch, where it struck a guide wire and fence. The occupants of the vehicle were not injured and were wearing seatbelts. There was no airbag deployment. The car received severe damage and was towed from the scene.
At 6:43 PM, Joshua J. Miller, 24, of Belleville, was stopped for a traffic violation on CTH CC, at CTH W, in the Town of Exeter. Miller was cited for Speeding, No Insurance, Operating While Suspended, No Registration of Vehicle, and False Display of License Plate. Miller was released pending court.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 10:05 PM, Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on STH 81, west of CTH J, Town of Monroe. Kristina M. Voegeli, 18, of Monroe, was westbound on STH 81 when she lost control of her vehicle, negotiating a curve. Voegeli entered the ditch, traveled through a fence, and came to a rest. Voegeli was not injured, her seatbelt was used, and airbag did not deploy. The vehicle sustained moderate damage, was towed from the ditch, and then driven from the scene. Voegeli was cited for Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance and released pending court.
